Prepping to use 303

Is there any prepping that needs to be done to the vinyl/plastic BEFORE using 303?
If so, what needs to be done?

Thanks

I think 303 is a protectant so you probably want to clean the surface first.

All I did was wipe down the dash and interior with a moist MF towel to remove dust and dirt. I applied the 303 with a terry cloth applicator and buffed with another MF towel. Read this for general cleaning or if you have any stains on your vinyl interior. Click here for general application instructions.

If you have had previously applied a protectant, your going to want to make sure you have removed any oils. Just use a all purpose cleaner diluted properly for your task. The apply 301 per instructions. Its not like your applying a sealant or wax, but just make sure your surface is cleaned.

What types of cleaner would be good? How much would it need to be diluted?

Thanks again

Anything literally. Just read the proper dilution ratios and then add a little more water, or a little less APC. You dont want it too strong. Mr. Clean, Lysol, 409....literally any all purpose cleaner will work. If you can smell the product in the water, its too much...Thats my rule of thumb for general cleaning. Use warm water, drop your microfiber in the bucket, squeeze out excess, and wipe away, repeat. Wipe dry with a clean microfiber towel....wallah...Ready for 303.....Fold MF several times to accomodate size, spray MF with 303 several times, away from surface, wipe, repeat. Wipe with dry/clean MF....done.

I use water woolite and the clean the surface, wipe with dry towel, spray 303 on another towel and apply evenly. No buffing is necessary.
