Lightbulb Polymer Sealer Help

Have a 3-month old 2005 silver TSX. Need a specific pait sealer. Silver is not too satisfying, and the finish is kind of orange peel, looks more like "hammered" with the present good coat of carnuba.

1) I'll be doing this by hand.

2) The temperature will be over 50 degrees, but I doubt I can be over 60 degrees for another month.

3) With the silver, I don't think you get much depth. It is just silver flake and silver paint. The sun never shines here, so you never pick up the flake and the thing just looks grey. I'm thinking I need crazy reflective stuff.

4) I'll put coats of carnuba or something over the sealer. I just don't have the time for a seven step Zaino process.

You guys know your stuff, I read just about everything here, there is just too much noise. Don't mind ordering online for a superior product. I've been using Mother's wash and Mother's carnuba on all the cars, didn't know about the sealer, and the other cars had better paint.

I lost my notes, was leaning to some spray OXT or Poorboys stuff. Posting the question because of color, temp, and no Porter Cable. Thanks for the microfibre, can't believe I've gone all these years with bath towels.

My I don't think you can go wrong using any of the sealants you've read about. Currently using Four Star UPP as my sealant of choice and a spray versuion is available also. I've used PB EX-P, but for some reason I keep comin back to the UPP. This sealant can be layered, top it with either S100/P21S carnuba and I think you'll be very satisfied with the result. I also use OSW which is a polymer/carnuba mix with UV capablilities, very slick and has a wet look to it.

That OSW is on my short list. Does it go on top of the sealer or is it used as a sealer?

I read about it and it is polymer sealer with carnuba. So I guess it eliminates the second step of the carnuba. You need to apply more frequently, but I would be doing the nuba anyway. Thanks,

Optimum is a good product to have on hand, and also to be used in conjunction with the FS UPP. I would go with Four Star UPP, then use either the FS Ult. Paint Protectant Spray, or Optimum Spray Wax, monthly, to maintain the UPP.
Optimum can be used as a sealer, but it really prefers a sterile surface (polished/cleaned) for better adhesion. Likewise with the UPP. You've got 2 excellent products to work with! (If you take our advice that is??!!)

Thanks, I'm taking the advice, and treating you to my best wash story:

Relative's family started in Ireland. The father struggled hellishly for betterment. He had a farm in Ireland, house with stone walls, thatch roof, dirt floor and everything. He slaved in English coal mines, gave him nightmares decades later. He worked through the Irish ghetto as a plumber in New York City. He finally has it made, moves to suburban utopia on Lon Gisland.

Gets his first car, a huge gold 1960's Chrysler, bigger than a dining room.

The high school age eldest daughter decides to celebrate his acomplishment, after decades of stuggle.

She cleans daddy's car with Comet and Brillo while he watches wrestling on TV.

RIP

Thanks for all the help.

Used Four Star UPC, Swirl, and UPP. Will write a review, but I know, useless w/o pics. Combining sun and clean car is hard to do...
