polishing frequency

I was curious if anyone knew roughly how often you can polish your car without having to worry about the clearcoat. I used merenza super intensive polish on a orange lake country pad with medium pressure. I followed this up with finishing polish on a white pad. I am asking because I recently noticed some scratches/swirls that I apparently missed. Would it be okay to go over those spots again after properly prepping the paint? BTW, I used a PC 7424 on the top setting.

I wouldnt get into the habit of breaking out the PC everytime you notice a scratch though.....A twice annual maintenance polish should be fine. Keep in mind, everytime you polish with abrasives, you are removing a micro layer of clear coat, this is normally "ok", based upon "general" maintenance.
