I have the UDM and am curious how to treat the area where the pin stripe is? I am afraid that the buffer will take the stripe off if I go over it. Do I tape the pin stripe or just avoid it altogether with the buffer?

 

I've buffed and polished over pinstripes hundreds of times without problems. As long as it was done right and you don't go nuts over the stripe you will be fine. If its a decal type be a little more careful, make sure its fully adhered to the surface and not starting to come off. If the car is newer shouldn't be any problems.
