PC7424XP dead?

my PC7424XP is about a year old, used somewhat frequently as i detail cars on the side.

went to turn it on yesterday morning, got a mild humming from the motor itself...and that's it. wouldn't spin or anything.

any ideas? fixes? anyone had this happen before?

thanks guys and gals.

if its dead; i would think it would be cheaper to replace the unit than to repair the motor.

^open her up and look for the damage!

a couple of weeks ago; my water heater went.
water was coming down into my garage like a waterfall ALL OVER my PC7424xp.
Luckily; it still works, but I was prepared to buy another if the motor was shot.

took care of the water heater and all is well!

PC7424xps seem to be very resiliant, I have dropped mine a few times HARD and nothing has stopped working yet. But when it does I'm eyeing a FLEX.

thanks for the advice guys.

went ahead and ordered a 'speed selector switch' which seems to be a common problem across the detailing boards. will replace this weekend and report back.
