Pain touch-up advice!

Hey guys,

I really need some advice on my current situation. My 07 CGP TSX has a few little nicks above the driver's door handle. Anyway's, these were there prior to me purchasing my car brand new (dealership must have touched them up prior to selling me the car). Anyway's, I was too eager to buy the car, and I didn't look over it good enough - so it's my fault. However, the dealership did a pretty good job, and it's looked fine (virtually un noticeable, however, recently, it appears as if the paint is starting to kind of chip away at the outer edge. I can see like little white dots, which I'm guessing is the primer underneath the touch-up paint. Well, these couple of dots are tiny - i'm talking like the size of a pin head. They are, however, kind of noticeable because I am so anal. Furthermore, my biggest concern is this problem getting worse, and the possibility of rust. What do I do at this point? I am afraid that by trying to touch up something that small, I might make it look worse than it does now. Should I have a body shop attempt to repair this, or would calling one of those mobile touch-up services suffice? Any thoughts would be welcomed!

Thanks again!

Jeff

I would take it back to the dealer and have them deal with it, after all they did the touchup.

Exactly .. and its only last years model .. should be covered I would think sinse it was brand new.

One little piece of advise tho .. don't attempt to do it yourself "then" go back to the dealer. It might be grounds for rejection.

^^I bet the dealer will reject him all together and say he is the one that did it. there is no proof that the dealer messed it up and I doubt they will give him the benefit of the doubt.

just use some touch up paint on the areas.

go to the dealer first, it doesnt hurt. if you attempt it yourself, that's a road of no return

Thanks guys! I'm due for an oil change, so I will have the dealer take a look at it when I take it in. I will try to get a pic, but with the rainy weather, you can't really see it until it's clean. Sorry
