NuFinish Car Polish Question

Hey guys...

I know I am probably going to get flammed for talking about this but before
I bough my new 06 TL I never really knew too much about detailing. I used to have a 99 Grand prix GTP and twice a year I would use NuFinish car polish on it and after 8 years it still looked pretty good. I know there are many better products out there after reading this site but I have like 5 bottles of this in my garage. So my question is how does "NuFinish" car polish compare to the polishes most of you guys use... Should I toss this stuff in the garbage??

I think there are plenty of products and steps better out there, but I used to use NuFinish and the stuff worked really good. It just smelled like kerosene and didn't last the longest.

i've used it before, it's not bad, but it's not wax either. It depends on how you look at it. There was a guy that used to buy cars off of the dealership i worked at (only high end cars) and he absolutely swore by the stuff. Any car he bought needed to have 2 coats of Nufinish on it before he'd take delivery. I've never had any bad experiences with it, especially on new paint.

it's ok for what it is...but there are many products available (OTC and online) that are far superior for about the same cost. go with something like a Duragloss 601/105 combo for OTC. NuFinish is from the "old school" sealant years...it's simply been passed by the newer products and technologies.
