Nevr-Dull OK for trim?

I've got a can of Nevr-Dull for my chrome exhuast tips. Stuff seems so caustic I'd be afraid to try it on anything but real chrome.

I've got the stock grill on my 2000 TL. It's got quite a few water spots on the chrome trim and badge now, but I would think the chrome on the grill is just the "faux" chrome, painted plastic.

I don't want to break out the Nevr-Dull on it only to find it melts through that chrome paint. Will Nevr-Dull work on that okay, or is there a better method to use to make these parts shine?

I'd stay away from plastic. On logo it will be safe, but make sure you put masking tape around it not to touch the clear coat.

For plasatic grill, try using clay bar to get the water spots off.

I just use my Collinite Sapphire wax to clean my "plastic chrome" It has just enough cleaners to remove the water spots, but still wont damage the chrome.Oh its plastic safe too.

Well I don't have any Sapphire wax, but I took my trusty Mequires Gold Class paste out there and gave it a shot. No go, spots still there.

Clay bar sounds like it would work, but I don't have one on me. I keep the thing waxed and washed, but I'm not committed enough to do the clay bar stuff. Seems expensive to get a bar just for the chrome on the grill.

I know what it's from too, the jerks like to run the sprinkler system in my apartment complex damn near every night, and of course everyone's car gets hosed.

To clean waterspots, use Klasse AIO or an equivalent paint cleaner. The most I'd try on faux chrome is NXT All Metal Polysh. Even on real stainless steel, all I use is Autosol followed by NXT metal polysh.
