Need a vacuum!
Need a vacuum!
Hey guys,
I don't have a garage so I don't want to lug around a shop vac.
Something portable would be ideal that has some good suction power. If it blows too (for drying) that would be a definite plus.
Not looking to break the bank with this purchase as I am still a novice when it comes to "detailing" cars.
I was looking thru some of Metro's Vac n Blo vacuums.
Any input would be great. Thanks!

I've been looking for the same thing myself.
I think the Metro ones looked the best.
Only issue I have is that I think they all plug into the wall...
Which doesn't work well for me.

yes denzil is right, i used to use this at a shop i worked at. great suction power and easy to lug around.
I made the mistake of buying the cheaper one, and you can def. tell the difference in power

Hmm, I'm not even sure that power inverter will be able to run it. I looked on the Shop-Vac website and it didn't say anything about power consumption. However, I did some engineering calculations (since I'm a Computer Engineering major) and P = V x I where P is your power, V is your voltage and I is your current.
I was able to find the amperage requirement from the Lowe's website and it was rated at 11.5 Amps. So 120 Volts times 11.5 Amps is 1380 watts to run this thing, hahaha. Good luck finding a cheap portable power inverter!

^ Nice thing is that it converts to a blower.
Price is attractive to.
Plug isn't attractive to me.
Looks like I have hit a brick wall...
Just one of those things...

Good question
