Question Need some help with the steps to take....

I know it's been mentioned before, but these steps are really confusing....I'm going to tell yall what I bought and if you could please tell me if you think i'll be happy with the products (most were recommended on here) and what steps to use them....all we have around here is AutoZone and Advanced Auto so I cant find a lot of the products that I've heard a lot about....ok here it is.....

1. Meg's Deep Crystal Car wash
2. Meg's NXT Tech Wax Paste Deep Gloss
3. Mothers Clay bar with Detailing spray (lube)
4. Mothers Carnauba Cleaner wax (came with the clay bar it's only 4oz's so i'm guessing it's only a sample, but if it's good to use with these steps i'll pick some up)
5. I've heard people talk about glazes but I really couldnt find any....i'm guessing the NXT wax paste isnt a glaze or is it? I dont know.......

Thanks guy's and last thing, i've heard people should do some of these steps twice like glaze or wax or something so if you could please mention that b/c i dont know how many times to use each product, again thanks guys your really a big help!

1. Meg's Deep Crystal Car wash, Use with a sheepskin washmit. 2 buckest would be best, or add a Grit Guard.
2. Meg's NXT Tech Wax Paste Deep Gloss Last step.
3. Mothers Clay bar with Detailing spray (lube) 2nd Step, use while rinsing with clear running water or use with the QD. Never use on a dirty surface. heres directions if needed.
4. Mothers Carnauba Cleaner wax (came with the clay bar it's only 4oz's so i'm guessing it's only a sample, but if it's good to use with these steps i'll pick some up) Step 3. Use on cool/dry surface. Good all in one type of product, dont expect anything eye turning with it. Expect 2-4 weeks protection.
5. I've heard people talk about glazes but I really couldnt find any....i'm guessing the NXT wax paste isnt a glaze or is it? I dont know.......
Actually NXT does have some filling properties, its really a polymer protectant with slight filling, and cleaning properties.....Not real good durability compared to other products available, but good for 4-6 weeks protection. Add an additional coat for proper coverage.
Good luck !

Exceldetail covered all the steps and in what order as well as length of protection time. This is just FYI, you can get a most of the products discussed/talked about from online sites such as Exceldetail, Superior Car Care, Classic Motoring and Autopia. Of course there are a lot more, but these are ones most used and mentioned in the forum. Have fun detailing.

I not gonna BS you and say that one product is better than another. Everyone has their personal favorites and for personal/specific reasons i.e. inexpensive, popular, durability, ease of application, simplicity, looks just damn good or whatever. Visit the Wash & Wax forum and read some of the threads about what people are using as well as viewing the result (hopefully pics are posted). You'll see names like Klasse, Zaino, Pinnacle, Megs, Blackfire, Menzerna, P21S, Four Star, Poorboys, and Mothers. Here are a couple of threads to start:

Bottom line is the finished product, are you happy with the results.

The product may be important, but it is not as important as the surface condition just before you apply your wax. If you use a good product on a surface that is not prepared properly by claying, cleaning and polishing, it will not look as good as a lower grade wax on a clean surface.
Here's what I do:
1) Wash
2) Clay
3) Spot repair any scratches or swirls with Meg's ScratchX by hand. (Optional)
4) Meg's Deep Crystal Polish
5) Klasse All-in-one (as a cleaner and first layer)
6) NXT wax

Then after this first time, subsequent washes only require an NXT top up once a month until the surface is contaminated again (i.e. rough) and then you have to repeat to get it smooth again.
