need advice

i am normally against car washes...but i hear that a few members here will run their NBP's thru a car wash here and there and then just give a little detail when they can

so here it goes, im gonna take my baby to a car wash today, i anticipate a few swirl marks. a friend of mine is a mechanic and said i can take my car in his shop any day on the weekend and wax my car in one of the bays, so i will be doing it the weekend following this weekend

what should i buy from exeldetail?

p.s, i will be doing this by hand (UDM this spring)

I highly recommend (well I guess it depends on where you live) you just give it a clay job, a good paint cleaning and a nice sealant. Whether or not you buy from Exceldetail is of course up to you! Im the least pushy salesman you'll come across. Consider some MF's waffle weaves, quick detailer, and a spray wax.
Also, take a look at this article I put together if you have a few moments.
Should answer some questions you have.....

what about preventative? i've seen the NRWS -- no rinse wash & shine -- in person and must say it does a really good job.

Duragloss Aquawax - bi-weekly/monthly

Four Star UPP - for those special day/event

The Optimum line are good. There's just too many to list out.

do not go through the car wash....you not going to have a little paint damage, your going to have a lot of damage....ie swirls...and a good waxing is not going to fix the damage the car wash did to your clearcoat....your then going to need a machine to fix all the swirls the carwash induced to your clearcoat....please so no to car washes....

If you are going to take it to a car wash...better be a DIY one.

I've packed my Euro wash bucket and other supplies in the trunk and washed by hand...just using the water spray.

Oh...the looks on people's faces when there are only three wash bays and a line of 8 cars....Priceless!

Ahhh...how wonderful to own a car in the city of San Francisco.

I'm waiting for the when I don't have access to a water hose.

I've been fortunate enough to have had some access to a driveway and hose.

I was thinking that the NRWS would be my back-up plan.
