Thumbs up Mr. Clean comes through!

Well I told myself I would never buy another black car. Last week They had a black on black with Nav and I just had to have it. I washed it last Saturday and all my nightmares came back to haunt me. Spots everywhere! The water here in Charlotte is horrible.
I decided to try the Mr Clean thingy today and I was a little skeptical at first but what the hell.
This thing is amazing. No spots, no drying, no bucket...... I'm a believer. Car looks awesone and it only toom me about 15 minutes to wash it.

The only bad thing about the Autodry is that the filters wear out very fast (2-3 washes) and it's not very cheap to replace. Also the final rinse with the purified water takes way too long.

True. But it's a lot easier than trying to dry a black car in the hot sun. I don't mind paying a little extra.

the Mr. Clean is hit of miss for most people. the shampoo they use is not compatible with alot of synthetic waxes like Zaino and NXT. both meguiars and Mr.Clean has stated that it would probably not work together. Meguiars has their own forum and the moderators have stated this as well as reps from Mr.Clean. so just be wary when using detailing products with it.

That's what I figures. I just ordered my Zaino and it's coming tomorrow. I guess it's back to hand drying after that.

I remember a post somewhere where someone E Mailed Sal Zaino and he said they were not compatible. No explanation other than that.

He spoke to Sal Zaino™? The man himself? Oh Lord, he is one lucky bastard. If I could only touch the hem of Sal Zaino's™ garment I shall die a lucky man.

I don't find him particularly funny, but perhaps his humor is like freeform jazz; you either "get it" or you're normal.

Works perfectly for me..and yes, the time it takes the purified water to bead off your car takes way too long. But it beats the hell outta wiping your entire car..going over each part over-and-over with a towel. With Mr. Clean Auto Dry, it takes literally a minute to wipe off the remaining water on your car.

when you say works perfectly do you mean the drying action or with zaino? have you applied zaino or NXT to the car after you washed with Mr.Clean? when i wash my car it takes me 10 minutes to dry the car with a good towel.

I've used Zaino on my car and have used the autodry system. You won't get beading of the rinse water once you use the autodry soap. It causes the water to "sheet". However, the next time it rained the beading was there again. Didn't seem to cause any problems at all. I have a well system at my house and the autodry saves me. The well water is so hard you can't blast of the water spots with dynamite. Not sdo with the wutodry however, works well.

so what would anyway recommend to wash a blk car? EVen though detailing is better and keeps my car very clean when i get it done. I just cant afford to take it 2-3 times a month. So just to cut me some slack i am going to wash it a few times myself. Now any advice on the products? I keep hearing Zaino. I want a good product that can really wash down and get the dirt out expecially on a blk car, and have a smooth finish. A wax combo would be nice. I dont want wax separtely im to impatient to wax my car. Takes too long.. I've done it before. Hate it..

Need advice
