has anyone tried the Mother's FX Synwax and/or Mother's Reflection Wax? If so how good are these, and are they synthetic wax or carnuba?

The only wax brands I have used is the Mother's Carnuba Wax and the Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax both with used with quick detailer spray. And I get ok results using these two products and I don't really get that wet shine look.

Will the FX or the reflection wax give me that kind of wet shine look?

Try using a polish prior to applying the final coat of wax. Polishing cleans/preps the surface and removes oxidation and minor imperfections. Read this about claying and polishing. This will give you an idea of what needs to be done to get your ride to look good.

that doesnt really explain the two mother's products i am asking about. But thanks for the response. i need to get some polish now, damn more money to spend.

andy, here's a thread by Road Rage about the Mother's Reflections. RR is very meticulous about his cars and the products he uses and his assessment concerning Mother's is worth reading.
