Thanks

I know. 250 is kinda high. But then again, I don't really have the 4 hours to do a good job...Thanks for the referral. I will try them within the next week, unless someone has a referral at a competitive price...

Easy color to maintain. I can help you out by teaching you how to use the Porter Cable and help "YOU" clean your car for a reasonable price.

What about that "sealer" stuff or teflon, etc? Been a while since I've waxed. Use to use mother's clay and then california wax I think it was called. Was a two-step wax: clean/polish, then shine or something like this. I would love to do it myself, I just want to know what is the very best for my car as far as leather cleaner/treatment, wax, that teflon/coating stuff, etc. use to use Son Of a Gun for the interior, but my Father-in-law uses this "aerospace" stuff called m3 or something like that and swears by it. Anyway, any help would be great. 250 for detailing is crazy, eh...

There are places alot cheaper than that, but I do see there van out everywhere. That is expensive though, the Ferrari dealer that details all those exotics does all that for $230 on non-exotic cars.

Yes, but how is the quality of their work? I am not saying it isn't great, just that in general in the detailing world you get what you pay for, big time. Of course it's important to be value minded, but it's been my experience in California and in Ontario that you'll usually pay within 10% of the highest price if you want a superb job.

FWIW, around here (not sure how it is in SoCal), there isn't a dealership I'd let near my car.

I thought of you and Ryan (RAG) when I saw this post; and I know you both charge significantly more for an ext/int compound job (and rightfully), I do too; that's sort of why I posted that $250 doesn't seem like a lot to me.

I'm just offering to teach him how to do it himself, practice makes perfect which in the long run will save him $. For $250 someone can get the majority of everything one would need to do multiple details on there own vehicle.

Its a fact that we live in a services related economy and if someone feels that $250 is worth it for there time saving go ahead and pay. I know that I love getting out every Saturday morning and cleaning my car for the weekend, I've done it since I bought my first car at 16. Its relaxing and rewarding.

Sorry wasn't trying to take away business from ya guys

Oh no, don't sweat it that's not what I was getting at at all. In fact, I promote guys doing it themselves; it *is* relaxing and rewarding, and it's cool you offered to teach him, and for a good price.

I was just saying in the detailing industry, $250 for a full detail in SoCal isn't bad at all.
