Microfiber cloth to wash and dry

I've done some searching on this and haven't found the exact answer. For just my standard weekly car washing, can I use micro-fiber cloths to both wash and dry my TSX. Obviously a different cloth for the washing and a clean cloth for drying, but is there anything wrong with washing the car with the micro-fiber cloth? I know that micro-fiber cloths are typically used for drying the car. Thanks,

Derek

I personally wouldn't do that. There isn't enough material to keep the dirt that's picked up from getting scratched back into the paint.

I prefer 100% cotton mitts. They hold a lot of suds and keep the dirt from getting rubbed back into the paint.

Ok, so use a 100% mitt or terry cloth to wash and a microfiber to dry? Sorry for all the stupid questions, this is my first new car since getting a 1990 Integra.

Nice to see you're taking care of it.

Use to the mitt to wash, and microfibre to dry. When you rinse, just use the hose without an attachment and you'll sheet off most of the water. High flow of water, low pressure will do that.

I just have many MF towels in hand and use new one for different part. Haven't seen scratches.

I love the genuine sheepskin mitts . . they hold soo much water. They do feel a little wwird when wet though .. kinda "slimey".

Also a fan of M/F mitts .. I have about 10-15 in my rotation.

Waffle weave to dry . .. 2 or 3 . . .

Ya that. I find mf mitts trap too much dirt in the fibers - it's tough to rinse them out in between panels. With a sheepskin all you need to do is put it in a clean bucket of water or run the hose over it and it's good and clean.

Cheers.

A broken record, but I couldn't agree more. Sheepskin mitt and two buckets. The no-nozzle rinse will blow you away too. My main rig is a pretty big truck and it literally takes me less than five minutes to dry with the waffle weave after the final rinse.

Why do you need 2 or 3 to dry?? Can't you just wring them out and use them again?
