Is this Meguiars Kit everything I need?
http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-Compl...6841337&sr=1-2
Wash
Clay
Polish
then Wax... right?
I don't see "polish" anywhere.
If this isn't what I need, can someone recommend a better or complementary kit?

its a solid kit for everything but paint correction. i have tried to hand buff scratches out with scratchX...its impossible. youll have to invest in a buffer if you want good paint correction. other then that it look like a good kit.
i would get that kit plus a UDM kit from excel and some polishes. itll cost you though, but its worth it.

thanks for trying to help though
Get the UDM or PC random orbital buffer. You can get it on-line or try local hardware stores. From ExcelDetail get the Optimum Polish and the UPP 4 Star Paint Protectant. He'll know what you're looking for. Forget that OTC stuff unless you like to do the job every couple of weeks. He can suggest what pads you need for the buffer as well. If the car is fairly new you'll just need the green and white.
You can pick up a clay bar at pretty much any auto parts store but if the car is fairly new you probably don't need it yet.
Oh and forget what anyone says about having to wash the car with Dawn or some other dish soap. Leave that crap in the kitchen where it belongs. It'll eat the rubber parts on your car.

That kit seems fine for what you want to do. I would suggest purchasing some waffle weave microfiber towels from Patrick at Excel Detail for drying your car.
