A few years ago, Colorado highway crews started using the Mag Chloride instead of salt on the roads. It does a great job of keeping ice off of the roads, but it is soooo hard to get off of the car! This stuff is like tar. After every snow, I have to spend a couple of hours either claying the car, our using a mild abbrasvie (like Meguire's scratch-x) to get this stuff off. Has anyone found a good way to get rid of this stuff?? Also, I have heard that the Mag Chloride is especially bad for dark colors, as it can fade the pigments.

At least it is not supposed to rust like salt
