Come to a conclusion, and let me know ifts viability towards enthusiasts. Any comments would be greatly appreciated....Be truthful, like always, lmao. If I decide to carry these, I wil put it on my monthly drawing for July. (Color choices will be available)

Currently on sale for $15.00, but will retail after sale for $24.95
The company is in Arizona, so if your wondering why anyone would retail this, its been in the low 100's already, thats about 175 degree piece of plastic when you get in it at 1pm......

KLASSYKAPZ Full-Face Steering Wheel Covers is manufactured for Steenem Enterprises Inc. by Bagmasters, Corona, CA. Steenem Enterprises Inc., based in Tempe, AZ, developed the KLASSYKAPZ for areas of the country experiencing hot and cold temperature extremes. When used as directed, KLASSYKAPZ fits over a standard size steering wheel and will help reduce the temperature of a hot steering wheel. Likewise, in extreme cold temperatures as in the Midwest and Northeast, KLASSYKAPZ will help insulate the steering wheel from cold temperatures. Currently, KLASSYKAPZ is available in Faded Blue Denim, Dark Blue Denim, and Gray, Tan, White, Yellow and Royal Blue Vinyl-Backed Polyester.

I can't honestly say i'd use it.....especially for that price.

Its nothing putting a towel over the wheel wont do for just a few bucks.

Good point....(It is insulated too, and I would hate to see a 40k car with a towel over it instead of something a little "nicer". Im just going to get a few of the more popular colors and guage interest.....

That may actually defeat the purpose...

I think my pride would outweigh the benefit of this product. Also not sure how mush better than a towel it would be after five minutes in the sun...

if it's insulated, how would it defeat the purpose?

I think what stogie was saying is if its just denim or polyester, it wouldnt make much of a difference. BUt like I said, it does provide insulation from heat and cold.
The reason I have decided to try this product is, on my own truck, which I attempt to take very good care of, (time providing) I have noticed my steering wheel is starting the beginning stages of deterioration. In other words, the top portion between say 11 and 1 o'clock just doesnt feel like the rest. I know we dont have quite the heat that AZ does, we do get periods of over 100 deg's throughout the summer months. So between that and the U.V. factor, this little device should help. Plus it does stand out somewhat, its rather unique, and no doubt will be a conversation piece. It should attract some attention as well as calls when the summer heat start pouring in. I mean we could all use "Turtle Wax" (a towel), but when you have UPP (KlassyKaps) available, I'll choose the latter!

got a question for you excel-->my friend has a jeep wrangler, and he has two subs in a box with his amp screwed to the top of the box...do u think this type of product can be useful to him if he put it on top of his amp? reason i ask is because the amp gets so hot b/w usage and the sun pounding on it...but either way, if i can get one of these in black and if it will keep my steering wheel in good shape, ill buy one off of you

I guess it would help if you're parked in the sun all day. I think the wheel would still be warm to the touch because of heat emitted from the interior, not necessarily direct heat. Patrick, have you tried it out yet?

I would really need to see a pic of the particular need before answering. Im sorry im of no help!
They arent currently available in black, although I will be talking with the supplier in a few minutes to place an order. I will certainly ask, but Im afraid hes going to tell me no for this simple reason. Black retains heat.....But ya never know!
Haw, the best assimilation I can draw would be with the Dashguard. The fact that the dash doesnt have the ooportunity to absorb the DIRECT sun allows it remain heated, but not hot, plus the U.V. factor will not allow deterioration. If I had to pick one deteriorating factor I would say U.V. destroys quicker then heat without any doubt.
My sales pitch for this item would be something like, "You protect your paint, you protect you dash, cover your wheel, or pick up the ash!" (Pretty corny aint it?) LMAO....Tell ya what, whoever comes up with a catch phrase gets one 1/2 off!

i think its over priced for its function.

Its kind of a novelty thing.......But it does serve a purpose.....
U.V.s also bounce of other objects. So even with a window shade, your still exposed to the U.V. elements.....
Please dont consider this a pushy sales pitch, just adding to the truth here guys....We cover cars, we cover seats, we cover dashes....Its just another item that will help protect.

Well, black would seem to be the color most likely to attract and retain heat. White or silver would seem like the best options for the intended functionality.

unless it fully seals the stearing wheel, i don't understand what insulated would have to do with anything, its still going to be the same temp as the car's cabin. Same thing a towel would do. Its basically only providing shade for the wheel, since it doesn't "seal" the heat/cold out.

I don't take it as that, but you did ask for our honest opinions. I love seeing new products you're thinking about bringing on-board.

What it keeps off the wheel itself is direct sun. If you use a window shade, there may not be a significant decrease in temps. But without a sunshade, its invaluable for keeping heat and UV off the wheel....
