Laitner Power Wheel Brush "Mini" Review

I displayed an in process picture of the cleansing of the rims using the “Laitner Power Brush” and I received several inquiries on it so I figured I would do “mini-review”.

As mentioned above, it is made by Laitner and called the “Power Brush”. It attaches to a standard drill.

In my opinion one of the best things about this brush is the bristles. They are feathered or split. I don’t know the technical term for it but I would explain it as the bristles having “split ends”. I like this feature because it makes the bristles very soft and what I would consider safe.

Another very nice feature of this brush is the top most bristles located on the tip of the brush. You will notice they are about ¼ - ½ “ longer than the other bristles. This is for cleaning the recessed area that house the lug nuts. You just stick the bristles in the recessed area and spin the drill and “voila” they are clean.

All in all this is a well made tool that if you can get over the perceived inconvenience of busting out your drill during a detail really is worth having

Full Shot (you can see the topmost bristles are longer for lug cleaning)

This pic shows the “feathered” nature of the bristles

I'll post on this thread after a few weeks and let you know about durability but from just looking at it and using it - I am willing to bet it is a very durable tool!

I bought it from Kragen yesterday when it was on clearance! I dont think it's on clearance anymore though. The price was too low for me not to grab it. I figure hmm this looks pretty good, why not try it out. Now I gotta find my dad drill to use it this weekend.

How long is the rod? And how stiff are the bristles towards the center?
I was wondering how far into the wheel well you can push this in without forcing it in. I'd like to get the interior of the A-spec wheels cleaned and cant find a good way to do it other than by hand.

So is it just a matter of using this brush with wheel cleaner and simply washing off? Or do you need to wipe down after as well?
