Klasse SG

I just finished putting on Klasse AIG and did one layer of SG. I put on one layer, let it dry for a few minutes and wiped it off. Should I put another layer of SG, if so can I let it sit overnight? It says to let it dry, but it doesn't say for how long. Any damage to the paint if I let it sit for 24 hrs before I buff it out? I read a few posts and a few people did leave it on for about 8 hrs. Any input would help..

You can leave it on for 24 hours if you would like, there wouldn't be any damage.

Klasse SG can really be either put on/taken off right away, or allowed to sit for any amount of time, its all up to the user.

Thanks for the input. I'll just let it sit overnight, I'm kinda lazy to buff it out tonight. Hahaha! Quick question, what else can I do it make it more of the mirror effect? I think people are using S100 or something. Sorry, all i ever did was put Zaino on another car so I thought I would use a different process

Yea, it's really up to you when you want to buff it all out. If you do decide to add another layer of SG or carnauba wax, wait for at least 24 hours for the first layer of SG to cure.

SG wont do anything for mirror like visuals, that needs to be accomplished with your polishing .......Alot of folks forget its the polishing that gives the car the "looks".

I've used Poorboy's SSR and loved it. It can be used in the sun or shade and smells great too. Another good one is Meguiars # 84 DACP. Both are used with a PC. If you don't have a PC, Scratch X is okay, even though I haven't personally used it. Be sure to wax after you polish.

If you have a PC or a rotary I would recommend the Menzerna line. They really are easy to use and did a fanastic job on my TL.

Poorboys has 4 different levels of abrasive polish, so all bases are covered.
Optimum makes a beautiful, rich polish that can be worked with a PC for a long time without it drying up on you.

If you use Klasse AIO, Klasse SG and then S100 or PS21 - is that the entire process of is there a step missing? Some previous posts lead me to believe that polishing is necessary but I thought that was what the AIO is for.

Thanks.

AIO is a cleaner/protectant, not a polish. It cleans by chemical action, and contains no "polishing" abrasives......So your actually going to need to polish if theres a need for light swirl , scratch removal. If those are your three products of choice, go with a polish, AIO, SG, then your carnauba topper. (ALL AIO will do at this point is remove any oils remaining after your polish)

Any recommendations for a polish?

Also, the car is brand new (about 8 days old) - do I really need a polish at this point?

I wouldn't polish it, unless there's swirls on it already. You can clay it to get the contiminates off of it.

Is this a good polish to use by hand?

I'd recommand using a PC. Doing it by hand will take WAY too long. The machine can rotate thousands of time per minute.

But don't you run the risk of ruining your paint if you aren't experience with the PC?

Crap, so I have to let the SG sit overnight before putting on the carnauba wax??? Damn, have to do that next time then.

I thought so at first too, but it's fairly easy to use. Don't do something bizarre like polishing one spot for 10minutes.
