Just used Nu Finish Polish and WOW

Over the last few years i've tried almost every wax on the market, from Mothers to Meguiars to different synthetics and I gotta tell you, Nu Finish impressed me the most. I tried Nu Finish's liquid wax before and I hated it, it seemed to be very watered down, but over the weekend while shopping at PepBoys I decided to pick up a can of their 'Soft Paste Polish'. It was a beautiful day here in Jersey yesterday so I decided to do a full exterior detail on my CL(Compound, wash, clay bar, wax) and when I used Nu Finish I was amazed at the shine. Nothing ever really impressed me as far as waxes go, but this stuff impressed the hell out of me. The trick is to apply it, DONT RUB and let it fully dry (between 5-20 minutes depending on the sun) it was pretty sunny yesterday so it took about 10 minutes to dry. Then I wiped/buffed it off with a microfiber cloth turning frequently and WOW it just brought the paint back to life. IMO this stuff is the best so far out of everything else i've used and im sticking by it. So next time you're out at a PepBoys or an Autozone pick up a can and try it out.

^^^ Well im no professional detailer, but im pretty sure I did all the steps. I washed, compounded, clay bar, paint cleaner, polish and then wax. I didnt machine it, but for doing a few steps and only taking about 3 hours all by hand, I think it came out really nice. I mean ive had my car professsionally detailed b4 and this was the closest i've came to a professional detail at home.

I'll make a list of the paint cleaner(pre-polish), polish and waxes i've used...

- Mothers California Gold 3-step with Paste Wax

- The first 2 steps of the above and Mothers SynWax

- Meguiar's 3 step with Liquid Wax

- Meguiar's 3 step with Paste wax

- Turtle Wax ICE

- Meguiar's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, Meguiar's ColorX Polish and Nu Finish Soft Paste Wax

And out of all of these systems that ive used the last one worked the best IMO and Meguiars 3-step with Paste Wax and Mothers 3-step with Paste Wax came in second. The Meguiars and Mothers 3-step were pretty close, but I think the Meguiar's 3-step worked a little bit better because IMO their First step (paint cleaner) worked better than the Mothers first step so I think that gave it a better surface for the wax to work on.

I'll take some pictures, but im not sure if a white car will do it justice in pics, so i'll detail my brothers black G35 this sunday and take a few pictures of that. Im sure you'll see the shine alot more on a black car than on a white one, especially in pictures

I had a friend helping (I put in a new drive axle for him, so I made him pay his dues by detailing. lol) me so it took alot less time than it normaly would just by myself. It usually takes me about 4 1/2 hours just to detail the exterior alone.

No, im not that good, just impatient . I just work quick, it used to take me over 6-7 hours taking my time but I didnt have the patience for that anymore so I just started working quicker and quicker until I was able to do as good of a job in 5 hours as I did in 6-7 hours.

Meguiar's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, Meguiar's ColorX Polish <--- your going to find these 2 products do the same job except the ColorX will leave behind some protection in the form of a polymer. Which BTW should have 24 hour cure time before being topped.

If you ever get around to a PC and polishing you will be stunned at how the next level looks.
