JMK Detailing: 2006 Acura TL

So I recently started detailing for money... man is it exhausting!

Anyway, I detailed djbonsu's car today... its a silver 06 TL.

Wheels:
Megs Gold Class soap
DG AWC
Zymol brush
Wheel spoke brush
Carrand wheel wand
Contour tire brush
Z-AIO / Z-2
Black Magic Titanium Matte Tire Finish

Prep:
Optimum Car Wash
Sheepskin mitt
2 bucket method
MF WW drying towel

Clay:
Megs blue clay w/ ONR as lube

Engine bay:
Megs APC 10:1
Zymol brush

Polish:
PC7424
LC orange / M105 (on a couple spots with deeper scratches)
LC white / M205 (majority of the car)
2x straight IPA wipedowns before LSP
Eurow Titan Shag towels

Protection:
2 coats of Zaino Z-2 w/ ZFX layered with Z6
Eurow Titan Shag towels

Interior:

Megs APC 10:1 for jambs / non-leather surfaces
FSU LCG / Z10 for seats
303 for non-leather surfaces
DG451 for spot cleaning w/ upholstery brush
DG GC for windows

Total time: 7 hours

Before:

Doesn't look swirly but it was!

B pillar swirls

Pre-LSP:

After:

Comments:
The Black Magic tire dressing is pretty damn good for an OTC product. I can't comment on durability since I haven't used it on my car yet (just bought it) but it looks great... goes on easy... water based.

Tried PBSSR2.5 / LC orange to get out some deeper scratches but I don't think it was abrasive enough. M105 did a better job. SSR2.5 smells delicious though!

I was a little worried about the lubricity of ONR as a clay lube but it worked very well!

This was my first time using ZFX and I ended up wasting about an ounce of Z2 Oh well, I'll never make that mistake again.

Paint wasn't that bad so I didn't really get a chance to get some nice 50/50 shots... plus silver is a hard color to take pictures of anyway.

Thanks for looking! CC welcome.

I have the Meg's soft buff 1.0 pads - W8006, and W9006. If I wanted to use some Meg 205, which pad would I want to use it with?

Also, can you purchase Megs 105/205 at places like Autozone and Pepboys?

You could use either really but it depends on the situation. If you need more cut, use the W8006, if not, use the W9006.

I hit it with M205 / LC white pad and a PC @ 6.

Beware... white pads will turn into black pads

Gotta do this on my car soon. M205 worked nicely...

JMK Detailing FTMFW!!! i stand behind Jason's business 100%! Jason's detail is very meticulous and not overly done (i.e. the use of the products) both inside and out unlike other places i have been. He gives the car a very natural look that makes the car look better than the showroom floor!

Thanks Will. I'm not quite there yet though... I'll give it another year or so til I will be 100% satisfied with my process But for my pricing, I find my work hard to beat (good thing or bad).

BTW, hows that tire dressing holding up? I tried it on my tires yesterday and it seems to work nicely.

Seriously. Took me awhile to find the swirls without direct sunlight... but after I found a patch, they were everywhere! Not very severe though.

^ no "rags" haha. Don't wipe it down dry either.

Man your garage is too dusty. Z6 claim to repels dust. Um, you'll want to use some quick detailer and some quality MF towels. Just wait til you clean it the next time and get some pics. Your car will still be pretty then
