interior question

I've been reading these boards for a while and now that I have my Carbon Grey/eboony TSX, I figured I'd join in.
Is it safe to assume that only the perforated part of the seat is leather and everything else is vinyl ?
I was applying leather cleaner/conditioner to my seats, and although I was careful I still got a few droplets on the center console(carbon fiber-looking).
Does anyone have any idea how to get it off ? That part seems very fragile - I don't want to ruin it.

On a side note, I see many people in their sigs list a number of their car. Is that based on the VIN number ? How can I determine what's mine ?

This has happened to me also. I used vinyl cleaner to get it off of the dash.
