Interior Detailing

Ok now I would have never imagined the amount of detail that goes into cleaning the outside of your vehicles. I found this site, it opened my eyes up to a whole new world of car care.
Now I would like to get feedback on cleaning the inside. I read some great forums already, but would like many of you to sum it up in this one.

1. When do you clean the inside, before or after you wash?
2. Do you vaccum, do windows, and then protectant? (Which order do you prefer)
3. What products do you like? (protectant, windows, leather cleaner/conditioner, stain remover, etc..) (Please add anything else you use and like)
4. Do you clean and use protectant on steering wheels? If so what, and if not what?how do you get it clean? The only reason I ask is because I read a forum that mentioned never using protectant on the steering wheel and on the pedals.
5. What should I look for in a protectant? What should it contain? I like the shine but hate the glare?

There is probably a million other question I could ask but these are the ones that pop up in my head first.
For all of the professionals on this site, please feel free to add whatever you feel necessary, as well as adding links to your sites so I can look at the product at hand and purchase what I need.

As I have mentioned in many of my forums, I want my car to stand out, as do all of us that use this website. So please give me any advice you feel necessary so that all of us, especially those like me who never knew anything of this sort, and those who want to take better care/learn how to take better care of their cars, could use to achieve that goal.
