Improving Zaino drying time?

Anybody in a 4-season climate have any tips for improving the drying time of Zaino?

I cant find the time to Zaino early enough in the morning to let it dry by the end of the day... and even if I leave it in the garage overnight... it is damp in the morning.

The relative humidity just seems to sky rocket around the mid-night hours.

The worst part about Zaino is if it doesnt dry all the way... yur fucked.

Help.

A dehumidifier for the garage -- perhaps???

i travel a lot, but leave my car at home. so i ordered zaino when i was in tn, and wanted to try it when i get home (pa). but i got home in the middle of winter. then i got sent to maryland. when i returned again, it was the end of winter/beginning of fall, but i had to do it 'cuz i was going to kansas.

so i washed my car on a cloudy day (mid 40s) in the afternoon (it was going to get colder) with palmolive (didn't feel like running out and buying dawn). clayed it, washed it again, and dried it before it got too dark and cold.

pulled it into my garage and put a propane heater in there and started z1ing and then z5ing and then watched tv for an hour.

after an hour, it was pretty much dry (probalby mid60's in the garage) so i tookit off, and z6ed.

next day i did the same thing, but only waited 30min, and again it was dry with the heater (again, 40's weather outside).

so a propane heater works good in a garage. dries the air as well as heats it up.

Use thinner coats. You should be getting 10+ coats per bottle. When done applying, it should not even look like there is HARDLY anything on the car. Try this and see what happens.......

You are right about the humidity going up at night. I don't recommend letting it sit overnight. Unfortunately, during cold weather there is no good way unless you have a garage with a dehumidifier like EricL suggested. Ideally a heated garage as well.

Im getting more then 10 coats per bottle so I must be doing something right.

I think ive mastered the "thin coat" art.

Just need to figure out how to get this shit to dry well.

Im scared to take it off too son.. cuz then it never trully dries.

And like you said... you cant see it... so you cant tell when its dry enough.

I will try a de-humidifier... I dont think a heater would be too safe in my garage.

That is not true.....if you take it off before dry...it will streak and be hard to wipe off....but it will eventually "cure." sometimes you need to wash after with Z7 to level it off....

I lay it on a bit thick, so I occasionally miss a tiny bit near the lower parts of the car. I will end up finding a couple of little dry patches on the car the next day.

So, it will eventually dry out, but if the humidity is very high, and it attracts enough "grit", wiping it off can be problematic!

Apparently, Sal Zaino is working on a formular that dries faster. Not sure about the details but this is what I have heard several times.
