Question How to Zaino w/PC???

Hi guys,
I just placed an order for my PC and I already have Zaino kit(z7,z5,z2,zfx...etc)
I also got the new Optiseal, No Rince Wash & shine, and Poorboy's Super Swirl Remover 2.5...
I'm planning to use my PC and PSSR2.5 to remove nasty swirls on my car.
So, here are the questions :

1. Do I HAVE TO dawn the car to get rid of Z2 that I applied before in order to get the best results from PSSR2.5?

2. After applying PSSR2.5, can I use Z2 or Z5 as a finishing polish?

3. If yes, how do I apply them with my PC...

P.S.) I also bought lake country's orange, white, grey pads... Thanks guys!!!
Sorry for the long post...

I don't think it's necessary. SSR2.5 is an abrasive polish and will remove previous layers of wax. I would also include claying prior to polishing.

I would use the Z-2 then probably follow with Z-8.

Yea, you'll still have to wait for the product to dry or haze over before buffing. Z-5 is a polish with non abrasive characteristics and uses fillers to hide minor surface defects. It is usually applied prior to using Z-2. Use ZFX (reduces drying time and speeds up the cure time) with Z-2 and Z-5 to apply additional coats.

The Dawn wash is to remove any carnauba wax that may be on your paint. Dawn will not remove Zaino or any sealant as far as I know. Polishing with a PC will certainly remove it though.

You'll waste product using Zaino via PC.

The only time I use the PC is by applying Z-AIO (All in one), or polishing with Z-PC.

Z-2 pro, Z-5pro, Z-6, Z-8 are made by the ease of hand use. I've read that some use Z-8 by machine.

One day I'll try Z-2/Z-5pro by PC and see what happens.

And a side note... you don't need to use Dawn, unless you have ANY kind of All in One product like Z-AIO.

All in one products clean and removes any existing wax that are on the paint as well as oils, and some minor defects.

Same thing goes with any abrasive polishes like Menzerna/SSR/3M etc.. They will remove all oils/waxes/sealeants that will leave a finish that's clean, and smooth as glass and ready for LSP application.

Oh, and always Clay before you polish or clay before applying a wax or sealant.

Alittle overkill, considering I wax 4 to 5 times a year. Clay is an abrasive that I only use twice a year. I use dawn the other times.

Same here, I clay 2X a year. And you don't have to clay every time you seal or polish. The only other time I'll clay & polish is when I decide to use a different product.

Claying along with polishing, either chemical or abrasive will remove the existing layer.

Wow, a SANE Zaino user. Don't see those everyday.

I just applied some z5 this weekend for the first time using a PC i just bought. For whatever reason, I broke the PC pad and switched to the hand applicators for the rear part of the car. I must say that it's MUCH faster to use the PC. It's probably worth using a little extra z5 for the time you save.

You can do more coats in less time and less strain on your back ;-)

I am really happy with how it came out. When I go to grab my door handle or close the trunk, my hand will slide right off because the car is so smooth.

Also, I drove a few hundred miles a day after putting everything on, and I was able to hose off bugs and whatever had accumulated on the front.

Was just curious how that happened and what kind of pad were you using?

Well today I washed w/Poorboys car wash, then claybar-ed(Zaino's yellow bar), polished with Menzerna's Intensive polish and followed with Menzerna's Final Polish II. The car was sqeaky clean.

I then decided to Zaino with my PC (never tried it before). I mixed 1/2 a little bottle with Z2 Pro and a couple of drops of ZFX and waxed up the car. I got 3 coats with half of the little "mix" bottle and could have done a 4th but was getting tired and wanted to put a wax on top of the Zaino....I never tried this before either. I put Poorboy's Natty Wax over the Zaino. Results? Well the Zaino was awesome and I loved using the PC to put it on...I could really spread it out. The Natty wax I'm not so sure about. I didn't feel like it added any depth...which is what I was going for on top of the Zaino, it also felt like it lost some of it's slickness after I put the wax on.

When I get a chance, I'll do up my wife's car but only put on the Natty wax and see how that goes.

Anyway, Zaino plus PC equals awesome
