How to get rid of Sandpaper marks

Washed my car today and it looks like someone rubbed sand paper all over my hood. They aren't deep scratches but they are definately there. What do you guys recommend I do to get rid of this?

Grit rating: this is the level of scratches made on a paint surface by finishing paper on newly applied OEM paint on the production line i.e. before it has been oven dried and cured The grit rating on an abrasive or polishing pad is an indication that a product is designed remove the surface scratches left by finishing paper i.e. 2500 grit scratches are removed by a 2500 grit rated polish) it doesn't mean that it is a 2500 grit level abrasive. To remove these scratches would need a finer grit (>2000 grit).

If you match the polish / pad to the equivalent grit (scratch) mark it will remove them i.e. Menzerna polish PO 203 will remove 2000 grit marks (scratches) along with a polishing pad

Less aggressive

I've found the orange pad to go very well with a orange (on acura paint). Followed by PO85RD finishing polish on a white/blue at a slower speed.

Dictum: Always start with the least abrasive first
