How Do I Remove These Surface Scratches?
I have two small surface scratches ( you can't see them at certain angles and they don't “catch” my fingernail ) on my two month old 2007 Acura TL and I just wanted to know how I would go about removing them?
I’m a total noob when it comes to scratch repair so would I be better off going to a professional? I tried Meguiar’s Scratch X, but it didn’t do anything ( maybe I didn’t apply it right, I don’t know ). Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Well those are pretty itty bitty to say the least! I would go at it again with the Megs ScratchX, and go with the grain. Take the scratchX, and apply a small dab, about the size of a pea. Rub gently, yet with enough pressure, the same direction as the scratch. Keep going until the scratchX dissapears, then wipe away and take another look, You may need to do it a couple few times....What your going to do is abrade that vertical edge down so it doesnt catch any light and reflect it back to you, which makes it visible. You may get additional marring if you go at it to hard, so only use enough to abrade that edge off.....
Then follow up with some protection in the way of a sealant or Nuba....
Excellent pics by the way, a star student no doubt!

1. Apply the product by rubbing in the direction of the scratch.
2. Let the product dry.
3. Wipe off the excess.
4. Repeat if necessary.
How long should I wait between applications? Thanks again!

You can actually go ahead and reapply immediately until the scratch is to your standards. Nothing needs curing, so you should be OK.
BTW, that first pictures is amazing, the paint is a beautiful color.

The drying process is totally useless.......lol. Its not doing anything while its drying..
Use the process descibed above, repeat if necessary (As bambo also suggested)...

The compound is a little heavier then the SX. You could probably get the scratches out with the PC and ScratchX with a PC, if there in an area easily accessible.
Again, a PC is the tool needed/proper starting point for proper surface care.
