How to clean tan leather interior the easy way!

Sup Acurazine! Well im new here so I figure for my first post, I will try to make it a beneficial one! I just purchased an 04 TSX, white with tan interior. with it being as old as it is, and tan interior, it needed major cleaning!!! i bought some Meguiras leather cleaner, but it just wasn't cutting it. So I tried some Mr. Clean magic erasers, wow what a difference! Cleaned better, with less elbow grease! I also used a clean cloth to wipe up the dirty water left behind from the erasers(you have to get them wet to use them)After getting the seats cleaned as best as I could, I followed it up with meguiars leather conditioner. Looking not too bad now, besides the major wrinkles... Now that they're cleaned for the most part, hopefully I'll be able to stay on top of it with the leather cleaner. Also, the erasers work damn good on the door sills and such! Well hope this helps some of you out there, enjoy the pics!
you can clearly tell where I cleaned

this cloth was white!!!

I use soft scrub (without bleach) on all my leather, followed by a good leather conditioner. Works beyond awesome. I even use it on my light grey leather couch (have been for 15 years)

Hmm, I might have to try that on the deep wrinkles then. Thanks!

I use an orange cleaner or simple green and then lexol to condition it.

This^ Holy cow man. DON'T do that again. We are talking about an abrasive here. Those pads took the paint off my dining room wall, they can't be good for leather.

Be careful and don't use it on the perforated sections. It is a bitch I get out of all those little holes.

Hey if you want even better results while conditioning your leather try leatherique, it is also much safer than the magic eraser.

Yeah easy there. I screwed up the side of my drivers seat with one of those a few years back.

I find a scrubbing pad+Lexol to be as effective, and much less damaging. The problem with cleaners "not working" generally stems from the method in which its being applied. A microfiber cloth isn't going to get much (if any) dirt and grime off. You need something that can work up a lather/foam and is able to scrub. You wouldn't remove a red wine stain from carpet with a paper towel. You'd use something that can scrub it out. Same idea.

I thought the conditioners didn't do anything because leather seats are basically painted and coated?

Yea....do NOT use a magic eraser.

Use Lexol cleaner with a minor abrasive scrubbing sponge/pad.
Then follow up with Lexol conditioner.

Magic eraser is just too abrasive, and you run a high risk of ruining the leather permanently.

Believe it or not, non scented sensitive baby wipes work like magic! I know that it's not the best thing but I used it regularly on my leather couches for years with no problems. My light grey interior was horribly dirty between juice spills, and lots and lots of smoke. It was a deep brown color, gross. No elbow grease, just a quick wipe and literally looks brand new. I wouldn't recommend doing it all the time obviously but if there is a tough stain once in a while maybe

Correct. Most all automotive leather is coated. Conditioner will make it soft for a bit but it ultimately isn't soaking into anything, as coated leather is largely nonporous. It sits on the surface and will get rubbed off by your jeans after a few days.

I still use it, mostly for the smell (Zaino Leather in a Bottle).
