How to clean engine bay?

How to clean engine bay?

Hello family,

I may be in the wrong section but this has been on my mind for the past two weeks. Does anyone have a good way to clean your engine bay. I have been looking at mine and it looks horrible. Even though the weather is cold out side I need to do something. So any feedback on this will help. Thanks

If you have the alternator and battery terminals covered, you can actually spray some engine cleaner/degreaser and hose it off. It works really well. I've used Simple Green before with good results as well.

How to detail your engine bay
Here's an Acura TL specific engine bay how-to

The key is to degrease the engine bay, rinse, then dress and protect.

Since I don't like to flood the engine compartment. I have used waterless hand cleaner on plastic parts and the dirt/grime rubs off with a dry towel. Easy and very safe to do with a nice clean look.
