For dust, use compressed air to blow it off. Then wipe it down with a wet rag, and add aumorall(?) to the plastic parts and hoses!

I heard you should never Armor All anything in the engine. Personally, I hate the stuff because it sometimes leave plastics hazy and white.

I was told by the Acura dealer that it won't hurt to hose off the engine compartment (and dry it off with a towel)...I'm reluctant to do this though, but I just dust my engine with a damp towel. I haven't had my car that long, so it's pretty clean now, but don't know what to do after a few more months.

That's what I asked the dealer, but they said it's okay...don't use high pressure though. But then again, try at your own risk...I am very reluctant to do that!

I used Simple Green and an old cloth to clean the bay. I use a mist to rinse it down. Worked great, no problems.

i used to spray down the engine of my Accord, just try and keep direct spray from the distributor cap. I bought some engine cleaner stuff at Napa a long time ago that works great, it got grease that had been caked on off, in the instructions it says to hose down the engine when your done. Besides, what do you think happens to your engine when you drive through a puddle or it rains all day? Just my $.02
