Help..............

Ive got a question for all of my fellow acuraziner's...........My cars surface needs some TLC, came off a road trip awile ago, and damn the surface scrathes and swirl marks! What is the best method of getting the cars shine back? Someone said wet sanding? LOL, sounds kind of abrasive.......let me know what you guys think!

I'm sure you would find many answers by searching, but I wouldn't try wet sanding if you're not really familiar with. If your scarches/swirls are not that serious, I would try using PC/rotary, if you have one. If your car got some major scraches, well.... let the experts handle them.

Thats what im planning on doing, because I need to get some body work done anyway.............so my question is, what exactly does wet sanding do? doesnt it remove the damn paint? LOL

If the surface scratch(s) are deep, then you may have to seek the assistance of paint shop. Swirls and light scratches can be removed as previously mentioned (PC & polish). Polishes (abrasives) will remove most surface defects and will also add gloss and reflectivity. Wet sanding is a totally different animal and requires the know how as well as skill.
