Tire Problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I have a 97 3.0 CL that is dropped 2 inches w/ Sprint Springs.
I have 18" R-1 Rims and 215-35-18 Hankook tires. After getting the tires put on I noticed a small pull to the right at speeds of 50mph or more. I took the car to an alignment shop and they said eveything is dialed in good and that the problem is that i am using directional tires. Could this be causing the pull, could they be right? I searched for 30 min to try and find non-directional low profile tires and it seems like they dont exist. Someone please help..............

Directional tires wouldnt do that.....pulling is caused by a bad alignment or something is wrong with your steering.

If the alignment and the steering are good what else could be causing this pull? These guys have been in the alignment and suspension business for 15 years so i am just not sure what to do.

It may be the road? I know there's some roads here that has an indent and makes it pull like crazy.

I dunno...that 2" drop without a camber kit can mess up your alignment...did they tell you that your toe, camber, and caster were all within spec or did they just do a toe n go.

dude, go to another shop and tell them what the other techs told you
second opinion never hurts, just in case the other place overlooked a certain spec...maybe theyll take a look for you for free if you tell them about your seemingly phantom prob

Do you have a dragging caliper? That can cause a little pull.

I will check on that dragging caliper but I just had the brakes done so dont think that could be it. This shit sucks, I feel like I am the only guy w/ a CL that has had a pull for no apparent reason.

I have the same problem, my car pulls to the right, and I just had my alignment done twice and it still pulls. I think it's a ball joint or control arm at fault though

no, not always, just depend on where u got it mounted from. a well know company like discount tires or sears etc would mount it and set the pressure right, but if its just some mom and pop shop then chances are they didnt even check the pressure at all.

yeah man, you're not the only one, mine pulls to the right as well, ive replaced almost all the components up there....ball joints, sway bar link, tie rods....im not worrying about it til i redo my suspension

checkin your brakes is a good idea, i had a nearly locked up rear right caliper so i changed out my rears and it semed to help on the right pull

youll figure it out dude
