Question GS 27 Scratch Remover

I have an 03 TL-S that has some very light circular scratches on top of the engine (the grey painted part). These were created when I stupidly cleaned under there using a sponge with sand trapped in it. Was wondering if the GS 27 Scratch Remover stuff that I have is safe to use on it? Hoping you guys can give me some advice...

Never heard of GS27...Sounds like your talking about the grey plastic cover, which I dont think there's any clear coat on it. I would get some kind of plastic polish like Plexus or Zainos plastic polish

Thanks for your response. GS 27 is an older product that used to be marketed here and is still available by mail order. I suspect it isn't much different than any of the scratch removers out there. I'm not referring to the plastic engine cover, it's the lighter grey part that the plastic cover surrounds. It's definitely painted metal...
