Tuff Stuff is really good at getting out water based stains like coffee and fish sauce. You can get it at Target or any auto part store.

This stuff is amazing. It can be used on cars and in the home. Costly but well worth it.

curtis... depending on where you live...
i'm assuming u live in cali somewhere since only cali people scream westside!...

try going to ralphs, vons, or safeway and u can rent a rug doctor for 20 bucks. make sure to buy a solution with it as well. its probably the best solution to clean your whole carpet.

2 weeks ago my friend threw a party at an apt condo he was just about to move out of. And since it was all empty, decided to throw a party. the next morning, there's were beer cans that spilled over, and 3 huge piles of puke all over his clean carpet. He was pretty pissed, but the rug doctor took care of it all. the puke all came out, and didn't even leave a smell. if you get it, don't just take care of the sauce stain, u can do your whole house, and its well worth the money, and the closest thing i'd say to professional carpet cleaning.

good luck

Laugh all you want,,,, but I have found that OXY-Clean( from the infomercials) works very very good. I had some chinese sauce stains and this stuff took it all out. Spot shot also works pretty good.

Oxy is great if you're willing to experiment with the concentration in your homemade solution. Works on cat puke on the carpets.

Try Woolite Foam Carpet Cleaner, then Febreeze to get the reek out.

Thanks folks for all your input and they all really help. I finally went ahead and use the product Starbright and it worked pretty well. It was pretty simple, I sprayed a bunch of it on the carpet, let it soak, and wiped it away!

not necessarily ... i was in Des Moines for a soccer tournament, and I heard a guy in a bar claiming to be from the "westside" ... his buddies were laughing until I said ... "of what?"

I used Blue Coral & it pretty much removed all the stains plus gives you a nice smell to your carpet. You should be able to get it from Pep Boys for a few $$.
