Question Glue Residue

I just purchased a new car and I noticed there are glue residue on the hood and side. I am assuming its from the white plastic that covers the car while in the lot. I was just going to use my regular meguliar soap and lambskin wash mitts and try to get it off. Is this the best or or is there an alternative productive I can use without damaging the paint?

I used goo gone before and its great. I worried that it might be too strong and might damage the paint.

Doesn't 3M make a "general adhesive removal" spray type of thing? That might work pretty good.
