1. Wash with Meguiar's Gold Class
2. Clay
3. Four Star Ultimate Pre-Wax Cleanser (applied w/UDM and a white pad)
4. Four Star Ultimate Scratch & Swirl Remover (applied w/UDM and a white pad)
5. Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection (applied w/UDM and a red pad)

I know it's difficult to make silver pop, but these pictures really don't look like the real thing! I'm 55 years old and really proud of my TL! Thanks again, Patrick.

 

nice job! Do you have the UDM with the 3.7 amp motor or 4.2 amp motor. I've been leaning toward the Meguiars G110 because of the larger motor, but curious to know how you found the performacne of the UDM.

How many hours did that take you?

 

Thanks for the compliment. I have the 4.2 amp version. The job took me about 4 hours and that is with only 1 coat of UPP. Tomorrow I'll put on a second.

 

Looks great ... I don't know much about the 4* stuff but wouldn't the pre-wax cleaner go on as step #4 .. ( swapped with the polish) prior to the UPP?

Wow, that TL looks clean as hell! Oh and as a tip, you can skip step 3 all together if you're doing step 4. However, you can do step 3 if you want to remove whatever LSP is on your paint's surface in order to prep it for a new LSP.

 

Pat is all comes together in pic #9. Its on fire! It really has that "glow" that only clean silver emits. Nice, nice work my friend!! Wheels set it apart as well.......
Now that you have it all cleaned up, use the FS Pre Wax cleaner only to refresh when you reseal next season (before Winter) Just a quick once around with the UDM/WHite/FS PWC, then the UDM/Red/UPP!
PAint cleaners are used just for cleaning, polishes are used to help exfoliate and remove swirls.

Pat, you did a great job. You should be proud of your TL. I have the same color as you do. With a Metallic paint, your shine and finish will be different than say, a black TL.
