EZ Wax

I was at Sam's the other day, and they were promoting this product called EZ Wax. The whole point of the product is that you dont need water to clean your car. You simply spray the stuff on it, take a towel and rub in circles, and then use a microfiber towel to take off the hazed part. I was just wondering if anyone has acutally tried this product.

Sounds like you would pretty much be rubbing the dirt around in circles on your paint.

These people have no clue what they are talking about nor what is in their product.

First you can't remove oxidation from paint on a clear coat because it doesn't oxidixe like a single stage paint. The owner and sales guy had a complete lost look on their faces when I started asking them questions of this nature. They were here at a local Sams Club a few weeks ago also.

Secondly take a look at their own vehicle, that black truck.....it's covered in halo scratches and looks horrible. Do you want your car looking like that ?

This stuff is just Dri Wash N Guard repackaged. From a chemist point of view the least amount of ingredients is ideal. A product claiming to have alot of ingredients is NOT the ideal.

Lastly ask the guy if his product is VOC compliant. Most likely it is not so this is why he may have to travel to certain states and sell this snake oil where the VOC laws have not yet taken effect. Its base is most likely petroleum.

In a nutshell it sucks

Anthony

Nothing beats a 3-step wax. Clean, polish, wax. Period.

(NOTE: Wash car before doing the 3 step :P )

of course, nothing would ever seperate me and my zaino. I was just wondering about the product, becasue from any person who knows just the basics of washing/detailing would realize that this product cant be good at all.

I'm partial to Meguiar's for step 1 and 2 and Mothers for 3. Nothing beats a good polish to get out swirl marks and pure carnuba wax is the best. I'm not a big fan of multi-month applications.

Detailing is hard work and there are no substitutes. If you want it to look good, you have to work at it.
