Expert's Opinion

Hello everyone,

I was hoping some detailing experts could chime in. I am looking to aquire a buffer to detail my TL. I've done everything by hand to this point, and I think it's time to "step it up" a bit. Can anyone here offer an opinion on the following product:

http://www.lanescarproducts.com/7-in...d-wax-kit.html

Is this buffer any good? Does anyone have a better suggestion? I look forward to your responses.

Thank you!

Honestly,

This would be your best bet. It's a proven system and comes with a 3 year warranty.

Porter Cable 7424XP Kit

Then grab some polishes and some nice MF towels and get to work.

For your car/paint Menzerna 203 should do wonders. If you need more correction, use the orange pad. If it does fine, use the white pad.

Menzerna 203 Power Finish

After using that, follow up with some Menzerna 106FA and your car will have a gloss that has never been seen before. Use this with either the white or black pad. If you use orange pad with the 203 Power Finish, use this 106FA with a white pad. If you use White pad with 203, use this with the black pad.

Menzerna 106FA

Then use your Blue pad to apply whatever sealant/wax you decide on. Use speed 4-5 and apply in thin even layers.

I would opt for the PC 7424 XP for sure.
Optimum Polishes and Compounds are PERFECT for folks just starting out. They allow the user plenty of working time to become familiar with the machine, which is a HUGE bonus when transitioning from hand to machine.
5.5" pads are the best all around size pad as well, in my experience, and opinion.
We still have a sale going on through October as well! 20% discount on most items!
