I haven't used it personally, but my brother has one. He used it on some minor dings and he said he worked. However, depending on how bad the ding is, how deep, etc. I'd suggest using caution. If it's a deep ding / dent, you risk crinkling the paint when you pull it out. Good luck - I know the feeling of having your car damaged (some guy recently hit my practically new TL last month).

I have used a similar product can’t recall its name; it was dent doctor/ king/ something or other. Anyway I used it on my NBP MDX, I was using it to pull out a rather large golf ball size dent in one of the rear doors. It worked wonders, it took quite some time, and a few tries but the dent was reduced to nothing more than the size of the dent pulled tab itself (which is quite small), I was extremely satisfied with the results, but as mentioned be careful not to chip, or crack the paint If the dent is too big. I would recommend first getting estimates on professional dent removal, as they do good and guaranteed work, second best bet would be to try a kit like the ‘dent king’ or whatever it really was called.

don't waste your money with something that "might" work. go with paintless dent repair. it will cost ~$100 to remove.

I went to the Paintless Dent Repair and they removed a dent in the top shoulder of my front fender .. it even had a bit of a crease in it .. If the paint isn't cracked they can do wonders.

The Dent tool might cost you less but this is well worth it.

I have a Dent King and while it doesn't totally remove dings, it makes them much less visible. It does take an eternity though and I always get paranoid when pulling out the dent in fear that the paint will come off as well. However, I've used Dent King on the same area of paint over 20 times and paint never came off, so I'd say it's pretty safe.

Unless you plan on using it for other dents, might as well get it professionally pulled out, esp if it's a new ride.
