Do Splash Guards Help
Do Splash Guards Help
when driving in the rain? I can't stand how dirty the car gets from a simple drive in the rain. The dirt that is sprayed on from the road makes me wash the car quite often. Do splash guards help to any significant degree with this?

That being said, my car is NBP, so you can barely tell they're even on. On other colors though, I agree that I do not necassarily like the look. Some people have had theirs body colored via painting.
What they definately do is keep some (SOME) rocks and debris from flying up and possibly nicking your paint. It's up to you if you think that is worth it or not.
Hope this helps.

I agree with Dark, I believe that it really does help keep the areas immediately behind the wheels and somewhat the side of the car cleaner. Don't get me wrong, the car still gets dirty on the sides, but the amount of dirt/salt has definitely been reduced. You can get a good deal on mud guards on ebay, let me know if you need some help finding them.
I was just replying to the statement of "driving in the rain". Yeah, the mudguards may help a bit on a road that is a little wet after a rain, but driving in the rain..I did not see a great improvement after installing mine.
True, however that they do protect from rocks and such kicking up on to the panels. That is the main reason I have them on. I have the NBP paint as well and man it is tough to keep clean! It gets dirty/dusty just sitting in the garage for a couple of days! Looks great just after a wash though..

But, like you said... When she's clean, EVERYONE is looking at the car. A lil bit o' tint and the lip spoiler and it'll be perfect...
I know, my wife did not like the silver too much- said it was too much of an "old person" color! I think it looks sharp in the type-S. I kinda like the green in the type-S. I don't see many of that color. I have the windows tinted (rear ones) and it really does look nice- except NJ does not allow the front two windows to be tinted
