Question Detailing Trim and Seals

I've always been a big fan of Meguiars Trim Detailer for door jamb seals, because it keeps them soft, shiny, and slick. But on another website I read that "trim detailers" are harmful to today's non-rubber seals. Do any of you know about this?? I've contacted the site to get more info, so I'll let you know. Do any of you use anything on your seals?????

I've always used baby oil on the seals with good luck for years. Peanut butter works really well for restoring dull black plastic parts but I'm sure peanut oil would work just the same.

Does the baby oil attract dust to your seals?
