Couple of questions i need answered PLEASE
Well this is probably gunna sound dumb to you few cuz you've been doin it for a while, but im new at this..I have a PWP 06 TSX, that i bought in august, so its almost winter here in NYC, so its about time to wax my baby before it starts to snow..My question is, what is the best wax i can buy that they sell at like a pep boys or rns? I really dont feel like buying the zaino right now lol..And also, id like something that isnt really gunna leave streaks, or swirls, or i guess that just depends on how you wax it? Ive never waxed before..Im also wondering what the best time to do it is, cuz its about 30 degress here right now and i have a driveway, but is it to cold to wax it outside? I know it all sounds dumb but im very curious cuz i gotta do this lol..Thanks alot guys

I think your winter is already there! I would just get some Mothers Reflections or another type of Polymer protectant on there, asap. Try to get it on, during the days warmest time, it will make the whole process a lot easier for you. Also get some microfibers, they help quite a bit. You have several months to come up with a plan of attack, so stay posted, use the search function, as I think we just talked about this identical situation a few days ago.

Here are a couple of recent threads asking pretty much the same question and hopefully you'll be able to extract information to assist you. The important thing is to get a coat or two on the surface ASAP. I don't recall the temp ranges for waxes/sealants. I'm hoping you know someone with a heated garage so the wax will dry properly and bond to the surface. As far as an OTC wax/sealant, I would suggest Duragloss 111. I'm sure the others will have alternative suggestions.

Needs more Lemon Pledge
Collinite 845IW for your climate and the salt on the roads. Check CarQuest, maybe in the marine section.

Temperature conditions:
These are the temperatures and conditions that are relative to the application of car care products; the most important is the actual surface temperature of the vehicle. The other things that will have a direct bearing on this is the humidity as this will effect the cross-linking (cure) time, excess humidity will also affect ‘how’ a wax or sealant dries (i.e. it may cause hazing or clouding of the surface)
The other climate related condition that should be avoided when applying car care products is direct sunlight, as this will dramatically increase the surface temperature compared to ambient temperatures causing the product to dry prematurely and may render it ineffective.
•Surface Temperature (Actual surface temperature of the vehicle) between 50 (10oC) and 80oF (26oC) products will work well within a much broader temperature range, i.e. 45° to 90° F (4.5-32oC) but at 45 degrees it will take much longer to dry, perhaps as much as two to three hours) but the best results will be achieved in the 60° to 70° F (15-21oC) range surrounding air temp (ambient or room) must be 55oF (12oC) + to ensure the minimum vehicle surface temperature of 50oF (10oC) which is recommended as a minimum by most car care product manufacturers
•Ambient Temperature (outside air or surrounding air temperature) (ambient or room) must be 55oF (12oC) + to ensure the minimum vehicle surface temperature of 50oF (10oC) which is recommended as a minimum by most car care product manufacturers
{Experience; [and the correct information] can be a great teacher}
