Complete Car Detail
Here's my plan for a new 2005 SSM TL. Let me know your thoughts as I have read so much on this topic my head is spinning.
Wheels: Menzerna 7.5 Tire & Whell Gel Cleaner
Wash Shampoo: Sonus Gloss Shampoo
Clay: Sonus Block Detailing Clay & Sonus Glyde Detailing Lubricant
Sealer: Klasse AIO and Klasse SG
Wax: S100
Interior: 303 Aerospace Protectant
My plan is to wash the wheels first then wash the car twice with the Sonus Shampoo and dry with MF towels. Then the clay process. The car is new so it shouldn't e to bad - we'll see. Then the Klasse AIO and the rist coat of SG. About 12 hours later a second coat of SG and a third a day later. Maybe an adidtional wash in between the SG if necessary. About a day after the third SG comes the S100.
Does this sound like a good plan. I'm fairly new to this and don't want to screw up a $30k investment/toy.

Sounds good. I really like sonus products and S100 is the shit.
However, I would guess there might be a layer of wax on it right now. Claying should remove it, but you might want to wash with a 50/50 mix of iso alcohol and water to make sure you have a clean slate to work with...

I've heard a few people say to use iso alcohol or Dawn but both of those sound so harsh. Is it really safe and are there any hints to make sure I avoid?

Good plan....Feel free to clay while rinsing your first wash. AIO will remove any previous protection, rest assured, its a great chemical cleaner.
Alcohol is used to remove oils after polishing, thus providing a sterile surface for which to apply sealants, allowing "better" adhesion or crosslinking.
IMO DAWN is totally useless in professional and enthusiast detailing.

Theres never a need for Dawn....You CAN use alcohol, IF you want to remove any polishing oils which may be left behind, after using such a product. You really dont need it to remove waxes, if you plan on polishing.

When I tried Menzerna's Intensive Polish it dusted a bit, I used quick detailer on an MF to remove the dust, but I wanted to make sure all lubricants from the QD were off before I used a polymer (Menzerna FMJ) so I used a 50/50 water / alcohol solution and wiped it down. It was quick, dried fast, and I had a pristine surface for the FMJ to adhere to...
