Clorox wipes for cleaning interiors??

Guys,

Is it a good idea to use Clorox wet wipes to clean the interiors (dash, leather, trims...)?? Has anyone tried it?

Waiting for your feedback.

Thank you.

2Fan, I would think its ok for vinyl/plastic, but I would certainly use something a little lighter on Leather. And if it contains bleach, all bets are off!

Is this the item you're referring to? Here's the FAQ for the wipes. And this one lists where one can use them. I personally would avoid using it. There are other options such as the Megs wipes.

Anything that contains bleach or any harsh cleaning product will destroy your interior. Stick to automotive care products that are designed for your car.

Yes Hawhyen51, I am referring to this particular product. In its FAQ it says that it is bleach-free and can be used for cleaning cars as well. But I'd rather stick to autocare products as suggested by fuzzy02CLS.

Thank you all for responding to my query. That helps a lot.

By recommendation from this thread I bought some Meguire's Quick Interior Detailer. That stuff was good! Need to do a little more research on this forum for leather care...

As with any car care products it comes down to personal preference. Here are two fairly recent threads on subject of leather care:

DO you like your car? If you value the look and quality of the TSX or any car for that matter, spend the money and buy the proper product for the car. I deal with several people who think that "mutipurpose" means it is auto safe. Their interiors are often sticky, dull, or damaged due to improper cleaners / applicators (non cotton). WHy spend almost 30K on a car and then use a $.99 product to keep it in good shape???

I use Zymol on my car and it works awsome. Personally I would like to stick with something that has a good reputation for automotive cleaning and not counter tops.
