My dealer had nobody to recommend for clear bra installation so I asked the BMW dealership. They recommended the quy who does the clear bra work for their customers. He has offered to do the work in his shop in Pottstown Pa. (45 miles away) or will do it in my garage. He quoted $695 for bumper hood and side view mirrors. He works with Avery film. He has had problems in the recent past with defects coming out of the 3M film.
Is this a good deal? Has anyone used Avery?

Most (80%+) clear paint protection installers use 3M product, my advice would be to go with the industry benchmark for clear film.
Clear Bra:
A product has been developed by the 3M Company, Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film, (SGPPF6) a n optically clear 8Mil (0.008-inch) film designed to reduce stone chipping and bug damage on painted surfaces. It’s a blend of acycloolefin, copolymer and a thermoplastic urethane, a tough, conformable material that is covered by a clear coat layer. This rugged transparent material will not crack, shrink or peel over time and it resists yellowing, the film and clear coat layers contains a protection to counteract harmful ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) radiation that can cause the surface to occlude (cloud) Testing from 3M reveals that the material will deflect road debris without film damage at up to 60MPH with the standard film

I would call around your area, call places that do window tinting and body shops especially. I am not sure what brand mine is, think that it is 3M and it only cost me in the nieghborhood of 225. But then I am not in NJ either. but the price that he quoted you seems a little high. I had a minor accident awhile back and the bodyshop that did the work, also replaced the bra, but again, the insurance covered it so I am not sure what they would have charged. Sorry that this is not of more help, but it is the best that I can offer.
I have had this on my car for over two years now. I will not go without it ever again. Mine is Stongard brand. I had the hood, mirrors, whole front end, headlights and fog lights done. It cost $500 installed.

Cool, I work in Wilmington. The only place I have been able to find around Delaware is in Elkton and he wanted like $1300. The guy who did my tints wants to get into it, but hasn't really pursued it. After that your looking at Annapolis or PA / NJ for closest installs.
That being said $700 seems high..

Google Paint Protections Film - there are numerous 3rd party sellers like Clear Mask, Invinca Shield, and Xpel and the majority of them offer 3M film. Some of the sites have an installer location (Xpel does). There are also other film manufacturers such as Llumar, Bekaert, and Venture Tape. And some offer installer loacation by contacting them via email/land line. I know 3m has a Find an Installer on their site.
