Cleaning interior...
I've tried searching with minimal results. I'm trying to determine what products most effectively clean the interior of our cars. I bought a can of armor all ultra shine wipes which works ok. I just want to see what you guys are using on basically everything but the windows and carpet.
Thanks...
Thanks...
First, you should not use ArmorAll. It contains silicone, which can cause the interior components of the car to dry out and crack. Armour All is notorious for this.
Second, I use 303 Aerospace Protectant. It's like sunscreen for the interior of your car, and it leave behind a small shine too. I've used it for years, and I love it. Unfortunately, you can only get it at boat stores.

while it may not be the best, i use lexol to clean the leather and condition. i have extremely sensitive eyes and anything with oils in them is quite irritating. yes even lotions and purfumes do me in.
Shiet... I already cleaned the front passenger door and the dash under the windshield... Is it gonna crack?? Should I go wipe it off with water or something? Can I get that 303 product at autozone? Does it clean as well as protect or???
Of course no... just leave it don't wipe it off.
I used armorall in the past... nothing happend.
But don't use it anymore.
+ 303 is the one to go with - Didn't see this at Autozone. Order it
+ Lexol to clean the leather and condition
Also for interior, this is what I started to use.
Seen some comments about it here that it doesn't leave any gray layer or something on the carbon area or shiney areas.
I started to use this on the dash also... works perfect

For the windows, I was using the invisible windshield spray, but when a guy came over to replace the windshield of our MDX, he said the best one is CRL Sprayway S50 Glass Cleaner, because ammonia free.
He said Walmart has it, but I ordered it.

I use meguiars supreme shine.
It leaves a nice dull shine so it's not to shiny. It's good for all surfaces even leather and it doesn't fade or leaves any residue, protects against cracking and aging aswell.

Trending Topics
Dash/sill area/anything vinyl: Meguiar's Natural Shine (no grease, and it isn't super shiny!)
Windows: generic window cleaner that's ammonia free (bonus: smells nice!)
Leather: Lexol cleaner/conditioner (used Woolite:water 1:12 in a spray bottle before as a cleaner)
Pedals/all-season mats: some orange degreaser that my mom bought for me (dunno if this damages anything, but it sure smells nice)
Vents/very small areas where dust can collect: computer duster
Other areas: microfiber cloth
Hope this helped. All of these materials combined are under $30.

You should go wipe it off with a damp sponge and then go get the 303 Aerospace Protectant from a boat store. Yes, it's a decent cleaner too.
The present ArmorAll only differs from many other PDMS dressings, (polydimethalsiloxane) by percentage of the resin mixed into the water that is it's carrier to the surface.
Be it Armorall, Eagle One, 303, Zanio, Mequiar's, Mother's, etc, all the "white-water based" dressings are PDMS.
303 has a higher resin content, the maximum that can be used, which is why it cost more.
Most of the mass marketed PDMS are usually around 18 to 20%, most professional dressings are between 22 and 27%.

i think the quick detailer is more of a cleaner than it is a leather cleaner/conditioner. maybe im mistaken but when it talks about leather im assuming its talking about steering wheels and door panels, not large leather expanses of the seats. i use that stuff because it doesnt leave a residue and smells pretty good.

will the leather cleaners mentioned get the dark stains out of the leather?
i used an alcohol prep swab at the back of the passenger seat groove and it got ALL the dirt and grime out.
Im looking to do just that
