clay bar and then wax?

Ok so I just clay bar'd my car today.. that was fun... not, anyways took me about 3 hours.... but it looks great, and is so smooth when I run my hand across the car... (it really needed the clay bar)
anyway, question is:

Tomorrow I plan on waxing the car... do I need to re-wash it since I used the clay bar or is it safe to just put the wax on it now? (I used some instant shine spray on stuff you know when you clay bar it (you have to use that stuff), so that is on the car) but it seems clean to just wax it without having to wash it again....

Anybody know?

You should polish after you clay and then you should wax.

I use Klasse AIO for my polish after I clay and it picks up all the residue left behind from when I clayed...

If you dont elect to polish, then you should wash, like others though, I would advise polishing. Youve taken the first step to surface care and maintenance, why would you begin to compromise your efforts at this stage ?

As soon as you clay, you should lock the surface with polish wax. That is the process I use.

Thanks to everyone for suggestions. This weekend was fun! Detailed the entire inside, vaccum, dust, clean leather, etc... then the outisde, clay bar, then pre-wax/polish and then wax. I used California Gold clay bar product and then the polish and wax I used Meguiars Gold line. Looks nice.

I took pics and I will post them later!
