CG MetalWax on exhaust tips

I spent last weekend detailing my brothers Type R. I tried out the CG MetalWax on his exhaust tips and was amazed at the turn out. It wasn't the best job and I know I could do a little better now that I look back at the pictures but I'm learning.

Before:

After:

Hmmm images not turning out in original size....

Great Job!

I have to admit, after viewing a lot of the AZ pro's masterful work around here, I too have added cleaning the exhaust & chrome trims around my RL as part of the routine now! It makes a world of a differences.

Excellent turn around on those exhaust tips. Looks like you enjoyed the Chemical Guys Metal Wax, I know you were torn between that and the Optimum Metal Polish. Thanks for sharing your results.

Looks very good...

Just curious, did you use anything to clean them before applying the CG Metal Wax? Any type of APC?

FYI

I went with the OPT Metal polish and have also gotten GREAT results on the exhaust tips and chrome trim. Very easy solution to the soot build up, 1 terry cloth to apply the polish, and a 2nd tier MF to polish it to a perfect shine!

I just applied the CG MetalWax with a dirty MF towel, buffed it on the exhaust tip, let it sit for about 5 mins then used another dirty MF towel to wipe off the residue and they came out amazing.

Hope this helps out.

Thanks, glad I went with the CG product, although the OPT metal polish would have gave me the same results. The deal on the CG was just too good to pass up.
