Buying a RO Buffer/Polisher Today!

quick questions...

is Meq's Swirl-X Swirl-remover basically just a repackaged polisher/pre-wax?

should I skip the Swirl-X and just get Meq's higher end CLEANER/POLISH (pre-wax)?

Use the right product and pad combo for your needs.........Ask yourself if Megs is right for you? Are you selecting Megs because of its availability, price, user friendliness, past experience using Megs? Etc....

I would not recommend it as a first go to product. It usually requires additional follow up work, also best (as everything is) used with a random orbital.
Thats some serious product your considering!
What exactly is the problem your trying to resolve anyway?

You have your terminology a bit off ..

1) Compounds & polishes are abrasive products used to remove paint imperfections and to improve gloss.
2) Buffers are machines used to apply the above.
3) Waxes and sealants are used to protect the paint from the elements.

Holy crap that's bad. It's definitely worse off now than when they first started. I would have preferred swirly paint to that...

And this is why detailing forums thrive. People tend to make a purchase based on marketing hype and labeling. If they would do a little homework first and ask questions, they would stand a much better chance for success.
